How To Make the Perfect At-Home Drink Bar

Whether you're a fan of coffee or tea, an at home drink bar is one of the trendiest updates you can give your kitchen. In this blog, we'll be giving you a rundown of the essentials for a bar to impress your guests and make any drink you may possibly desire. We'll also share some inspiration pics on how to decorate, and reccomend some of our favorite products. :)

Essentials for Everyone

Though you may want to cater your bar towards your preferred drink, you should have a little something for everyone! A Keurig is a great option if your prefer a variety of drinks. The machine's special "K-cups" come in millions of drinks and flavors ranging from your classic coffee or tea to even hot chocolate and apple cider! It's also important to have a sturdy kettle on deck, both for your favorite teas and specialty coffees. You can check out a few our our favorites here. :)

Consider investing in a few jars and other storage containers to save space and decorate!

While Coffee and Tea are the main focus, it doesn't hurt to have a few add-ons close by. Consider picking up a few flavoring syrups, sugar alternatives, or other toppings you may need to fancy up your drink! A great tip is to switch out seasonal flavors, such as keeping pumpkin flavoring in the fall and switching to peppermint in the Winter! (Trust us; it's the little details that really wow your guests!)

Mugs & More

There's no use in making a drink if you've got nothing to put it in! Make sure your bar is stocked with a few mugs and glasses (ready for either hot or iced drinks!) We recommend picking out a few different sizes to so you can accommodate any size drink. Vanilla Bean offers a variety of different cup sizes and styles, so feel free to check out our website to find one the perfect one!

Our personal picks for serving guests are our Patterned Mugs & Textured Glass Cups!

Consider grabbing a few more essentials such as spoons, straws, and a few napkins in case of spills! Saucers or Coasters are also great to have on deck to prevent any accidents. :) It may also help to have a garbage can nearby to dispose of any used teabags, coffee filters, etc. (Another tip is to invest in a few reusable items to reduce waste and save space! Reusable coffee filters are great for the environment, and can be stored in a variety of ways; check out some of our favorite filter storage pieces on our website!)
